Firstly I have to say a huge THANK YOU to all of our customers for your continued support under our new label name, Powderpuff Boutique. Four months ago when I wrote my first blog about the re-branding and all of our trademark nightmare, I was unsure about what direction the label would go. Would we sink or would the label come out on the other side bigger and better? Well I'm super happy to report it was the later of these two and it would of never of happened without everyone's support, purchases and spreading the word for us. For that I am really truly greatful.
We've been so busy filling orders that we havn't had too much time to bring out many new styles. We managed a few, but there are definitely plans to get some new frocks out by the end of this Summer and other goodies.
Our BIGGEST news of 2011 (after the re-branding of course), was our brand new store in Adelaide! We leased the sweetest lil shop that I had my eyes on for a while. I always thought it was a great location and beautiful building and then one day it was empty and the next, it was going to be the new home for Powderpuff H.Q.! It all happened so fast, but I new only good things would come from it, so I bit off another huge chunk of work to do for myself and set out to get the new store ready and looking extra pretty. I am so lucky to have amazing parents that are hugely supportive and also happy to get dirty and put in the elbow grease to get the shop looking fabulous. Thanks Mum and Dad!!!
Lots of people have asked, and yes, the building was already purple when we leased it. Funny how it matched our new branding. We did however ever give it a new lick of paint inside, cleaned old paint on the stained glass, give it a huge clean and a great guy, Adam built new fittings for the store and did an amazing job!
Two days before Christmas we opened the doors for the first time. It's been great meeting the locals and of course our existing customers that popped into the shop. The shop is still a work in progress at the moment as we continue to get it just right and get it stocked up with more Powderpuff garments. In store we also have millinery from a great Adelaide company making quality hats and fascinators called Ruby Mae Millinery. Some of their creations are even made from our fabrics, so you can get the full perfect matching outfit! We also have some goodies from Seam Queen and a retro and vintage rack in store too.
547 Port Road, Croydon, SA. Not even 10 minutes from the CBD, bus stop 13 right out the front and a couple of minutes walk from the train station. Across from Dan Murphy's at Welland. We are currently looking at Mon, Tues, Fri and Sat for our opening hours at the moment and via appointment. Check our website over the next month for proper opening hours and until then, keep up to date on our Facebook page or ask via email, info@powderpuffboutique.com.au. This shop will never replace the website, (http://www.powderpuffboutique.com.au/) it's just a lil something extra for Adelaide. We have a studio section in there too, so you can come and spy on us whilst we work...
Now we are working towards our Grand Opening Party planned for Friday the 27th of January. More details will be announced on that soon. We have fun things planned for that night and a great sponsor that we're lucky to have for the event also! And there are plans to actually keep our blog updated too, so fingers crossed that actually works!
